Chapter Twenty-
Five

“Focus, my love. I know you can do it,” Hades said.

“I’m sure I can
, but I’d rather not,” Cameryn responded smirking.

For some reason Hades had gotten it into his head that they needed to discover the full extent of her powers. She couldn’t help but wonder if it had anything to do with Hermes’
s strange visit.

“For someone who just discovered that she’s a demigoddess, you don’t seem interested in discovering any powers you might have.”

“Why does it matter? Even if I do have powers other than locating the dead, they wouldn’t compare to the powers of an Olympian.”

“That’s not necessarily true
, beloved. I just think that you need to know what you’re capable of so you can control it, that’s all.”

“Fine. Let’s get this over with. There are other things we could be doing,” Cameryn said giving Hades a suggestive wink.

Hades smiled at her. Regretfully she closed her eyes and concentrated. She thought back to her fights with Persephone. Her palm started to twitch. It was feeling hot. Hot like fire. Cameryn focused hard, imagining a ball of fire. She opened her eyes and looked down at her open palm. A fireball floated in her hand.
Amazing.
She focused again and another fireball appeared in her remaining hand.

“Impressive,” Hades said.

“I’ll say,” Cameryn said before throwing both of the blazing fireballs.

They both exploded
, and the heat of it almost knocked her back.

“That’s hellfire hot
, my love. Wow.”

“Are you satisfied now? Can we stop?” Cameryn asked.

“No. We’re just getting started. I’m going to attack you. I want you to stop me from reaching you.”

“Hades!”
Fine. He wants to get his butt kicked. I’m more than happy to whoop a little ass. I’ve been a little too soft lately.
Hades ran at her with his fists raised. Cameryn concentrated on protecting herself. As Hades was almost about to reach her, he was knocked back. He tried to reach her to no avail.

“You’ve created a force field.”

“I’m getting pretty good at this,” Cameryn said relaxing and willing the force field away.

Hades approached her.
“Creating a force field could be very effective if you ever need to do battle.”

“Trust me, I know how to handle myself in a fight, but I prefer to be a lover not a fighter.”

“That’s my line,” Hades said pulling her into his arms.

“Yeah right. Why don’t we see what else I can do?” Cameryn said before she pushed him away with all her strength.

He skidded ten feet away from her. “Super strength, too? What an amazing goddess you’re going to be.”

“But why am I able to do all this stuff now? Why couldn’t I do any of this before?” Cameryn asked.

“I’m not sure. It’s possible that you’ve had the ability to do these things the whole time. It’s also a possibility that you didn’t and that being made aware of your heritage has unlocked a mental block that kept you from using your powers. Why don’t you see if your connection to the dead is any different?”

Cameryn closed her eyes and concentrated.
“Spirits of the dead come to me,” she called out.

Opening her eyes, Cameryn saw spirits floating around her.
Okay this is getting weird. All of a sudden I can do these amazing things. Has being in the Underworld changed me somehow?

“Be gone,” Cameryn said dismissing the spirits.

“You’re amazing,” Hades said dismissing the spirit
s.

“No. I’m just a freak.”

“No, you’re not. You’re a very young demi-goddess just learning about her powers. You are very gifted my love. I can’t wait to see your full potential once you’re a fully fledged goddess.”

“That’s an intriguing thought, but that’s not what excites me about becoming a goddess.”

“Then what intrigues you, my dear?” Hades asked stroking her face.

Cameryn leaned into his touch.
“Spending eternity with you. Never growing old. Never worrying about sickness or death. We can make love forever.”

“Now that is a truly delightful thought,” Hades said putting his arms around her waist.

“It’s more than delightful. I’m the luckiest girl in the world,” Cameryn said before kissing him boldly.

She loved him so much. Eternity with him. She smiled against his lips when she felt his manhood rise against her body. She knew where this was leading
, and she had no complaints.

Zeus sat waiting in the Throne Room. He’d already dispatched Hermes to gather the other
s. He had no idea how they would receive the news he was about to relay. A few of them might even scoff at him or accuse him of paranoia. He was fine with that. When it came to dealing with the Oracle, you could never be too careful. It was his responsibility to look after the other gods. Anything or anyone that could hurt them was a threat.

Zeus shook his head. He never thought danger to the gods would come from his own line. His granddaughter. He hadn’t even met the girl
, and now he was going to be forced to destroy her. Demeter was not going to take this well. He was going to have a fight on his hands with not only her and Hades, but Hera as well. For some reason his wife had taken a particular liking to the girl since she’d taken it upon herself to meet Cameryn. For Hera to have a positive reaction to anyone meant something, especially since Cameryn’s very existence was a direct byproduct of his philandering.

He was in an impossible situation. He had no desire to start fighting with Hera again. It had taken them so long to get to the place of peace they were in now. Besides that he had no wish to go to war with his brother. Regardless of whether the prophecy

was true or not, Hades would protect Cameryn with everything he had. His brother was formidable in battle. They might not have ever been able to imprison the Titans if it weren’t for Hades’s prowess in battle. Even Ares had been outdone, and he was the God of War.

Fighting Hades was not going to be easy, but if it had to be done, then so be it. He had a responsibility to protect the Olympians
, and he would do just that, no matter what. He just wished he could set aside the intense feeling of sadness he felt whenever he thought about the relationship he would never have with his granddaughter.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of you,” Cameryn moaned.

“Likewise, my sweet,” Hades said as he popped a strawberry into her mouth.

Their appetites for each other were insatiable. They’d made love for over two hours before pausing for food. Cameryn reclined in Hades’
s arms as he fed her. Her heart was still beating fast. This was a totally new feeling for her. Complete and utter bliss. She shifted in his arms to look up at him as he fed her another strawberry. It was evident he was enjoying the afterglow just as much as she was. As she finished chewing the strawberry, she gave Hades a quick kiss before slipping a strawberry between Hades’s lips. The look on his face made her think about putting away the strawberries and going for another round of lovemaking.

“I can read that look in your eye, my lusty beauty.”

“I don’t know what you mean,” she said smiling.

“Oh yes you do,” he said reaching for her.

She maneuvered out of his grasp.
“Oh no. Not again. I need a break. I don’t have your god-like stamina yet.”

“Then why wait? We can take care of that right away.”

“My six months aren’t up yet.”

“Doesn’t matter. You’ve already said you want to remain. You’re not having second thoughts
, are you?”

“Of course not. Never.”

“I couldn’t bear it if I lost you.”

“You won’t. I promise.”

“Good. Now come with me. There’s something I want to show you,” Hades said rising from bed.

“Do we have to get out of bed?”

“Just for a moment love,” Hades said cloaking himself in a pair of black silk boxers.

Cameryn slid out of bed. A red silk nightie soon covered her. She was pleased that no underwear followed. From the leer on Hades’
s face she knew it was intentional.

“Hmm. I guess that means we’ll be coming back to bed pretty quickly,” Cameryn
said.

“Of course. Hold onto me. This will only take a minute,” Hades said.

A few seconds later they disappeared from the bedroom and reappeared in a lighted circular chamber. When Cameryn made a step to move, her world felt like it was spinning, and she stumbled.

“Are you al
l right?”

“Yes. I just felt woozy for a minute. I’m fine.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. I promise. Now what is this place?”

“This is the Throne Room. Before I gave my nephews sole responsibility of deciding the fates of the dead, Persephone and I used to spend time here doing the job.”

Cameryn’s attention fell on the black throne of ebony on the raised dais. Then her gaze shifted to the ivory one next to it. She felt a surge of anger at the tangible reminder of Persephone.

“Why did you bring me here?” she asked.

“Because now that you’ve made the decision to stay with me, it’s time you had a throne,” Hades said as he raised his hand toward Persephone’s throne.

Cameryn watched as the throne started to rattle. When it cracked and crumpled into nothingness she felt a perverse pleasure. Another reminder destroyed.

“Now that makes me feel better.”

“I’m sure it does. Now what kind of throne would you like
, my love?”

“You don’t need me to tell you what I like,” Cameryn said
, challenging Hades.

He stared at her for a moment before turning his attention back to the empty space beside his throne. Hades raised his hand again
, and a rumble shook the dais. Slowly a diamond throne emerged. It was exactly what she would’ve wanted. Strong, but yet beautiful and majestic. The colors of the rainbow were reflected on every side.

“Do you like it?”

“Of course. It’s beautiful.”

“I’m glad you like it. Why don’t you try it out?”

“Okay,” she said walking up the stairs to the dais to sit in her new throne.

She sat back and put her arms on the armrest. It was strangely comfortable to have been carved out of diamond.
Now I really feel like a queen.

“It suits you,” Hades said coming to sit beside her on his own throne.

“Yes, it does. As does yours,” Cameryn said looking at him.

Even half dressed, Hades made a commanding figure sitting on this throne. Cameryn felt a shiver of lust race up her spine. She wanted him again
, and she was going to make sure he knew exactly how wonderful having a throne could be. She rose from her seat and moved to stand directly in front of him.

“Cameryn?”

She ignored the question in his voice and dropped to her knees. Her hands reached for his boxers tugging them low until his impressive length was revealed.

“I want to pay homage to my king,” she said before taking him in her mouth.

She felt a thrill when he moaned. Her mouth continued sliding down the length of him. She wanted to take all of him in, but she knew it was impossible. He was just too big. When she’d gone as far as she could possibly go she slowly eased up. It wasn’t long before she’d established a slow rhythm. Long slow licks and hard sucking. Hades’s hands gripped her hair holding her to him. When Cameryn slid up to delicately nibble the head of his penis, his grip tightened.

“Cameryn…”

As she continued pleasing him, she could feel herself growing wet again. She couldn’t believe how turned on she was getting.
It’s time to really rock his world.
She released him with an audible pop and stood to her feet. His eyes widened as he watched her straddle him, throwing her legs over the sides of the throne. Her body shook as she lowered herself onto him. She still couldn’t get over how full she felt. Her hands gripped the back of the throne, and she started to move up and down his exquisite length.

It felt so good. She should be sore, but she wasn’t. She gasped when his mouth closed around her nipple sucking as she rode him. Clinching her muscles around him made the pleasure even more breathtaking. His hands gripped her waist, forcing her to arch her back and thrust her breasts closer to him. He suckled her greedily, driving her into a frenzy. She slammed down on him hard
, and her world exploded. Her thighs shook as she cried out.

Hades clutched her, working her hips until he shouted his own release in her ear. Neither spoke as they continued breathing heavily. Cameryn rested her head against his shoulder. His arms wrapped around her.

“You’re going to be the death of me.”

“Gods can’t die.”

“Maybe. Maybe not. Give me a minute to pull myself together and we can go again.”
